Education: Professor Siu A. Chin received his B.S. degree from MIT in 1971 and his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1975. He was a research associate at the University of Illinois from 1975-1978 and at MIT from 1978-1980. Dr. Chin was adjunct assistant professor at UCLA from 1980 to 1984, and joined the Texas A&M faculty in 1984.
Professor Chin's research interests include nuclear and subnuclear many-body theory, Monte Carlo calculation of quantum many-body problems, lattice gauge theory, helium droplets, Bose-Einstein condensate, and the development of new numerical algorithms for solving diverse physical problems based on forward factorization schemes.
